Abstract

As we know, reading is one of the most important and necessary skills in learning English. But because of the students’e of the students’ poor vocabulary, they often overcome some new words that appear in the passage when doing reading comprehension. This often makes the students feel great difficulty in doing reading comprehension. Gradually, many students lose their confidence of learning English.

So, one of the most important things which needs to be done is to teach the students the skill of overcoming new words when doing reading comprehension. However, the students’ ability of dealing with these known words in reading comprehension will actually be improved through the better-designed project.

This project shows you some indeed ways of helping students deal with unknown words effectively when they are doing reading comprehension.

Methodologically, two main methods are used, which are analytic method and cause analysis.
