6. Project evaluation
The problem
Is the problem a necessary one? Yes. It is related to whether the students can continue their English learning in a higher level. (Extensive reading can enlarge students; vocabulary effectively. But they must learn to guess some new words while reading.)
The methods used in problem analysis
Are the methods used in problem analysis suitable and efficient? Yes. I used the analytic method and cause analysis. Although there are only two kinds of methods, they are quite effective to my problem. I like using them and can use them properly.
The project objective
Is the projective achievable? Yes. It is not only researchable but also realistic. It can surely be achieved. My project objective –roject objective – to enhance my students’ ability in guessing the meanings of the new words while doing reading comprehension.
The hypothesis
Is the hypothesis provable? Yes. My hypothesis - students’ ability in guessing new words is increased by well training is provable. Almost all the student can make great progress in improving their ability of guessing new words after receiving the training.
The project rational
Is the project based on sound basis? Yes. My project was based on facts which are actually sound and valid.
The project design
I have defined my project objective and hypothesis.
I have stated my project rational.
I have worked out the details for project implementing.
I have planned the stages and timetable for the project implementation.
The stages and details of project implementation.
The stages are essential and complete. The implementation details are properly maintained. I used the following items to implement my project:
Week 1
Teaching notes
Students’ handout
Diary-keeping
Week 2
Teaching notes
Students’ handout
Diary-keeping
Week 3
Teaching notes
Students’ handout
Diary-keeping
The methods used in project implementation
In what way did I implement the project? I implemented the project by means of classroom teaching. Only in this way, can the students receive the training thoroughly and effectively. And I can get the students feedback as quickly as possible.
